Articolul prevede c\u0103 orice persoan\u0103 fizic\u0103 sau juridic\u0103 are dreptul la respectarea bunurilor sale, la protec\u0163ia propriet\u0103\u0163ii sale.<br \/>\nNimeni nu poate fi lipsit de proprietatea sa dec\u00e2t pentru cauz\u0103 de utilitate public\u0103 \u015fi \u00een condi\u0163iile prev\u0103zute de lege \u015fi de principiile generale ale dreptului interna\u0163ional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cu toate acestea, dreptul la protec\u0163ia propriet\u0103\u0163ii nu poate aduce atingere dreptului statelor de a adopta legile pe care le consider\u0103 necesare pentru a reglementa folosin\u0163a bunurilor conform interesului general sau pentru a asigura plata impozitelor ori a altor contribu\u0163ii, sau a amenzilor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cu toate c\u0103 \u00een protocol nu se prevede explicit, privarea de proprietate pentru cauza de utilitate public\u0103 nu se poate face dec\u00e2t \u00een schimbul unei juste desp\u0103gubiri.
