At the time of the visit, CPAD Timiş held 40 persons, either retained or under arrest, among whom two minors, three young detainees and 35 adults. Two of the detainees were female and 38 were male.

1 Special Report – Penitenciaries Report on the visit to the Târgşor Penitentiary for Women The Târgşor Penitentiary, located near the city of Ploieşti , in Prahova County , was still the only facility in the country holding exclusively female detainees, both those serving definitive sentences and those convicted by a definitive court order but placed under preventive arrest for investigations in a different case. 07.11.13
Sediul central al penitenciarului este o construcție nouă, începută în anul 1994 și finalizată în întregime în anul 2011. În anul 1998 a fost dat în folosință primul corp de deținere. Construcţia este situată lângă o zonă industrială a oraşului Arad şi se bucură de un teren generos care îi permite să deţină numeroase curţi de plimbare, terenuri de sport atât pentru cadre cât şi pentru deţinuţi.
Organizaţiile semnatare consideră că actuala formă a proiectului de lege privind stabilirea unor măsuri de descentralizare este inacceptabilă având în vedere consecințele grave pe care acest act normativ le-ar putea provoca diverselor segmente ale societății: natură, patrimoniu, sănătate etc.

La data vizitei, numărul total al persoanelor private de libertate aflate in penitenciar era de 1175, toți bărbați, din care 6 tineri și 4 minori. Penitenciarul este împărțit în 10 secții cu următoarele regimuri de deținere: regim deschis (318), regim semideschis (756), arestați preventiv (80) și observare carantinare (21).
APADOR-CH și ActiveWatch condamnă public folosirea legii penale pentru a intimida persoane care își exercită dreptul la liberă exprimare și libertatea de a participa la întruniri publice, ambele consacrate și protejate de Convenția Europeană a Drepturilor Omului (art. 10 și 11) și Constituția României (art. 30 și 39).
Avocata APADOR-CH, Nicoleta Popescu, invitată la Realitatea TV pentru a discuta despre cum afectează firmele de media modificările fiscale privind insolvența și ce impact au acestea asupra libertății de exprimare în România.
