Drug users in prisons and police arrest

In this project, APADOR-CH works together with the Romanian Harm Reduction Network (RHRN) to assess the general situation regarding drug users in prisons and police arrests.

In recent years APADOR-CH witnessed a rise in the number of drug users behind bars, in Romania. This might be explained by existing criminal policies but also by a rise in drug users in the general population.

In this project APADOR-CH and RHRN want to evaluate the scale of the problem and to see to what extent the Romania prisons/police system is able to meet the specific needs of drug users, such as access to treatment, medical services and psychological services.
